Arts In Healing: a new show in Charleston, SC focuses on the healing arts. From the announcement:
In the past, the arts have seemingly been disconnected from health care but today, new research and the development of artistic interventions in health care environments create a symphony of activities designed to support patient healing. Studies Show…highlights artworks from the Arts In Healing’s collection alongside medical research to both justify and advocate for the inherent healing powers of the arts. Through a reconsideration of MUSC’s permanent art collection alongside new acquisitions, this exhibition chronicles the advancements of the arts in healing.
